Chipatula Sewing Machines

The Dignity Project was contacted by the small village of Chipatula which lies just north of Enukweni to see if we could help them by providing an income generating activity for their HIV/AIDS widows.

After meeting with their GVH (Group Village Headmen/Women) and discussing their realistic needs it was decided that sewing machines would be a good IGA if we provided initial cloth and training instruction on tailoring.

We provided sewing machines and cloth and paid for initial trailoring training for these ladies so they could make school uniforms for the local school, and go into small business for themselves.

This is an example of the type of IGA that The Dignity Project helps the community with.
